Join us for Up!  A series of practical and candid sales talks by experts in the trenches.  We have a great selection of experts who are working their craft in the field of sales and will be sharing their personal stories about their success and tactics they use to be the best in their field.

All businesses want more revenues and one of the best ways to get that is through more sales.  There are 9 workshops with guest presenters sharing their knowledge and helping you realize the same success!

Finding your USP in a crowded market is tough enough but, once you’ve found it, you need decision-makers to buy in to it, get excited, and, most importantly, write a cheque. Learnhow to sell innovative products by spinning uncertainty into opportunity and creating buy-in and community within your target market.

In this session, you will hear from Brooke Hammer, owner of Chimp Treats Ltd, an innovative health food company. Learn how she made her dream customer (Whole Foods), her first customer and how to sell early-on without sales, traction, or huge budgets behind you. Through the lens of CPGs (consumer packaged goods), learn how she built an impressive base of distribution and retail partners in the first few months, and how she got them excited about jumping on board. Everyone you sell to, from buyers to brokers to distributors, cares about different metrics and benefits— learn how to adapt your pitch to make the most of each opportunity!

About the Presenter: 

Brooke Hammer

Brooke Hammer founded Chimp Treats in her last semester at Trent University, as a busy student, passionate vegan, and varsity athlete training 20-30 hours per week. Chimp Treats is an innovative health food company creating amazing, new snacks made entirely from fruit, with nothing else added! The product that started it all is called Nicecream, it is a sweet and creamy frozen dessert made entirely from bananas. This delicious, healthy snack was extremely popular on social media, but not available on store shelves anywhere. Brooke thought that if people could purchase this banana-based snack conveniently on grocery store shelves, they would love it! Turns out, there were a few very good reasons why nobody else was making Nicecream in mass-market. This began a twelve month R&D journey to create the process that is now used to produce Nicecream. In that time, the team grew from 1 to 10, funds were raised, relationships built, and Chimp Treats launched mass market in June 2017, quickly acquiring listings from participating Whole Foods, Sobeys, Metro, Food Basics, and Foodland locations. Now, preparing to enter the Western Canadian market, and nearing roll-out in mass-market partners, Chimp Treats is poised and ready to inspire people everywhere to go bananas!
