ENTREPRENEURIAL PROGRAMS

Starter Company is a great opportunity for start up and existing businesses for people 18+ who want to start or expand a business in their community. Full Training and a Grant of up to $5,000 available.

Summer Company allows you to go beyond your typical student summer job and turn your idea into a business. The program provides Ontario students ages 15-29 up to $3,000 and hands-on coaching and mentoring to help you start and operate your business.

Pathway is a new B2B initiative for Durham Region that strives to help existing businesses grow to the next level and in doing so, create new jobs. The Program is available to existing, incorporated businesses in Durham with annual revenue of at least $200k.

Do It In Durham is a collaborative series of events held during Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) in mid November. It is brought to you by local businesses and organizations who are already ‘Doing it in Durham!” and who want to share their expertise and experience with other entrepreneurs in the community.

Up! is a series of practical and candid sales talks by experts in the trenches. Free talks held monthly at The Centennial Building in Whitby, nine speakers will share their stories about success in selling and buying.

upNext is a three week digital skills development program that offers young adults in Durham the opportunity to get real world experience among many other skills. It’s aim is to help improve participants chances of getting a job or starting their own business.
