About Lee deBoo

My name is Lee deBoo, 32 years old originally from Oshawa Ontario. I am a father, husband, health and fitness enthusiast, tradesman, and entrepreneur. My number #1 priority is and always will be my family. Although building a successful business takes countless hours of hard work and dedication, I have learned that being successful means nothing if you don’t have people around you to share that with. Alongside my business, trying to gain as much knowledge as possible so that I can begin to help others around me has recently became something that I am very passionate about. I believe that having an equal balance of family, business, and philanthropy can lead to having a very prosperous and fulfilled life.

FilterDelivery.ca was conceived in the summer of 2015 after having to attend many service calls to repair furnaces and air conditioners due to lack of regular filter changes. FilterDelivery.ca ships a new furnace filter to your door when it is time to change it, so that you can change it and forget it until the next one arrives. By utilizing our service you never have to worry about whether or not your family is breathing clean air in your home.

Often once your filter starts to get dirty, then more dust and allergens begin to pass through it and travel through the air in your home. Also having a dirty or clogged filter can cause hundreds of dollars in damage to your heating and cooling equipment. Our filters are of the highest quality and made right here in Ontario. Our prices are comparable to most stores selling the same quality products. Therefore, by signing up you are gaining the convenience of a product being delivered to your door, you will no longer have to worry about how long it has been since your filter has been changed, and you won’t have to make the trip to your local hardware store, all for the same price as your are currently paying for the same quality of product.

How did BACD help you in getting started?

In the beginning stages of getting the business started, part of what helped bring things together was the support of the BACD. Being able to get a guideline and break down of the best steps to take when starting a new business, and having access to many of their resources was a great benefit that I would highly recommend utilizing.

What advice would you give someone who wants to start their own business?

For those new entrepreneurs, if there were two things that I could suggest to help get started in ANY new endeavour would be to stay motivated and not to procrastinate. We often tend to over analyze things to the point that it slows the progression of our goals. Most of the time, having your products or services available, but still needing work, would be much more beneficial than trying to make them perfect and not having them available at all. And finding a way to push past the initial thought that you can’t do it and you will fail is a must. Yes, you might fail, and yes it will be difficult, but we all work our best when we are stretched to our limits, so push yourself past the self denial and you will see just how much farther you can go when you have confidence.
