The Digital Durham program's goal is to help small main street businesses learn how to promote online, use e-commerce, and streamline their processes with digital tools to stay competitive and succeed.

This program started in 2018 through Enterprise Toronto and then in 2019 as a collaboration with with BIAs (Business Improvement Associations) Ontario to help main street businesses attract visitors, create jobs, and increase the competitiveness in this world of changing technology.

This program is now a training program and open to all businesses to take advantage of the training program.  The Grant portion of the program closed Dec 31.2019

Digital Durham is a program run in partnership with Toronto's Digital Main Street to main street businesses grow by adopting digital tools and technologies.

Digital Main Street provides:

Digital Service Squad Program: (until May 31, 2020)
One-on-one assistance and digital assessments by highly trained teams that can come on-site to offer services and recommendations, including activating free and easy-to-use tools.

Access to Support:
Access to basic digital services, including lists of vendors that can identify technologies and tools businesses need to be digitally ready, including assessments, articles, best practices, etc.

Digital Training (online and in-person):
Specific digital technologies or strategies, including e-commerce, social media, and website development

Here’s how it works.

1. Register your business at digitalmainstreet.ca and take the Digital Assessment.

2. Complete the online training and develop your Digital Transformation Plan.

3. Connect with a Digital Service Squad Member in Durham Region through dss2@bacd.ca
