1855 Masterclass: Our Right to Access
WednesdayNovember 184:00PM - 5:30PM
In partnership with Durham Region Economic Development and as a part of #DoitinDurham, join us on November 18 at 4 PM as we close the 2020 season of 1855 MASTERCLASS with Denise Williams, CEO, First Nations Technology Council, in an exclusive presentation of “Your Right to Access”. Facilitated by nationally recognized media personality, Tasha Kheiriddin, this gritty fireside discussion will get to the heart of a long-standing systemic crisis that has been happening in our nation’s Indigenous communities for decades. Guests will be invited to explore Indigenous wisdom and ways of “being”, that are key to how we live today, as we innovate forward. We will be encouraged to step up and live in right relation, as Indigenous peoples have for thousands of years on the land you walk today.
We also bring you JUNO Award-winning Canadian singer-songwriter Chantal Kreviazuk, delivering a special musical performance at this “can’t miss” virtual event experience.
Registration is free and all are welcome.
