About The Presenters:
Daiana Villarreal is a trilingual international business professional with over 10 years of experience in trade development and trade policy promotion. She has provided trade consulting and advocacy services to companies in Latin American and Canadian markets in her former role as an international trade advisor for a Latin American export promotion agency. She has a proven track record of increasing export sales in the Apparel & Textile, and Information Communication Technology –ICT sectors. Daiana’s forte lies in promoting international trade policies and missions, developing and expanding business opportunities and new accounts, and building strong relationships with different stakeholders in the export ecosystem in Canada and abroad. Daiana joined MEDJCT as a Senior Export Advisor in the Business Capacity and Readiness Branch in March 2018. She holds a Master’s degree in International Business from IESEG School of Management in Lille, France, and speaks three languages – English, Spanish and French.
Ryan Convery is a Team Lead with the Trade and Investment Strategy Branch of the Ontario Ministry of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade. He has over 10 years of experience in the Ontario Public Service and has been a part of the Trade and Investment Strategy team for over three years. His team has in-depth knowledge of international trade agreements, including CUSMA, CETA and CPTPP, and is responsible for promoting the benefits of these agreements to Ontario businesses.
